23 Years, 5 months and 26 days

23 Years, 5 months and 26 days; at this age most of us finish our studies and start the professional life, an age at which we begin a new phase of life. Most of us don't even understand our social responsibilities and duties as a citizen. And maybe, a large percentage of us don't even know the meaning of society, humanity and importance of human life. And a large percentage of the remaining (who understand all these) don't bother or don't have time for such things. It's really very hard to believe that someone can have a vision, vision of a modern republic with true socialism at this age, but it happened.

Your thoughts about human life: "Our love for a human being is no less than that of others. So there is no question of being jealous of anybody. On the contrary, human life, in our eyes, is so scared that it can not be put into words. Instead of hurting anybody, we are prepared to lay down our lives to serve humanity. We are not like those mercenary soldiers of the imperial army who take pleasure in killing. On the contrary, we will try to defend human life.", So those who believe that, You and other revolutionaries didn't care about human lives, they are actually one step behind, they really need to grow up. Even an ant protests if tortured, human is human. So, wasn't this approach very obvious and justified to protect human lives. So, those who believed then and believe now that your approach for freedom was not justified or correct should think twice because even in name of non-violence many people lost their lives.

We need volunteers: "I say to the youths that they should participate in this work as workers. As far as question of leadership goes, well, we already have too many. Our party does not require leaders..." Taking this thought to the present world, we normally see initiatives to many noble cause in the present world which lacks support of people, people with true intention, objective and spirit. Once we start playing the role of a responsible citizen (world citizen in many cases), we can see many positive changes in our societies faster.

And taking Indian on special note, we have many issues yet to be resolved, taking the most crucial one for Indian citizens, the price rise issue; people of India didn't show their real spirit to put pressure on Govt. of India and the merciless rulers (who are supposed to be public servant in democracy) don't care at all. We can learn a lot from your thoughts...we need to change our attitude and approach.

We need to Sacrifice: "I would like to appeal to the youths to work with zeal for the establishment of the socialistic democracy. If the keep on this struggle in an untiring way, then they can achieve their goals...". Concept of socialism in democracy proposed by you is still most relevant requirement in this world. We surely need socialism upto a certain level (if not complete). Unless the fundamentals of people are satisfied, the capitalism should not take on. And in India, at least, it's only theoretical, have not been able to implement it even after 63 years of our independence. We the people need to stand firm for this. Sacrifice, not necessarily sacrifice of life, that can be an extreme option, keeping the start moderate, there are many other options which we can opt for and bring changes.

This blog is an attempt to reflect how Sardar Bhagat Singh's thoughts are still relevant in the present world. And we need to learn more and more from his thoughts. That's why i say you and your thoughts are still 23 years, 5 months and 26 days old.

Beggar or Artist: u decide urself

Bonjour !

@Republique, the city center, Rennes, It's a winter evening, melancholy in the wind is catalysing the music of violin, bus of line number 4 stops, everyone is in hurry to return home, I have to go straight along the road and then parallel to the river "Quai" (river flowing through the city centre, that's nice), At the first sight he may appear to be a beggar (begging in style :P), in front of him is the building of Republique.

Whenever I visit Republique, in the evening, I find that person playing violin at the same place and coins all around. Maybe it's a way of begging in France, but does the word beggar suits that person? I never saw him asking for money, he always seems to be busy with his violin and his art. People put coins on the sheet, spread near him. He maintains his silence, only the violin goes on. One can see similar scene near the Place de Bretagne.

Indians are well aware of beggars, we can find few in any city of India. So, what's the difference between begging there and here in France. Why do beggars in India irritate, and why did I try to see the art in his begging. Is this only because, he was not asking for money and if it is so, a person playing music (normally on a musical instrument like sitar, I have seen many) in India, should not be called beggar.

At the end, the big question is when does this art become begging?
By the way, night is getting longer and days are shorter in this part of the world, in few days it will be 8 hours day and 16 hours night.

à plus tard !

Deep

It has been 24 hours or so when I thought of writing this post and still I don't know, i am in state of writing or not...neither i know, where to start, nor how to start.

Deepawali, a festival of "DEEPs". "DEEP" spreads light to whole world but, there is always darkness around it. We make quotations using this word viz "kahi deep jale kahi dil", "kul ka deepak" etc. Has anyone thought of this "Deep", what does a Deep says, what is it's wish? I am trying to do so in this post in the hope that few of the readers will understand the internal feeling of a Deep.

A Deep spreads light by "burning" itself till it is capable. It never asks anyone for oil, but if you keep pouring oil in it, it will keep spreading light and if you delay in doing so, you will have to ignite it again. It's our duty to protect it from wind...if we want light from it. It means a Deep also needs something to give you lot. So you can't expect a Deep to burn itself infinitely... whatever be it's capability. This is truth of life and is applicable for us also. Everyone in this world is like a Deep in some context. A person always tries to spread happiness around himself/herself till he/she is capable of doing so...capability of doing so varies, i agree. So it's our duty to protect our near and dear ones from wind, we should keep watching what do they need specially when they are not close (physically) to us so that they could lighten our lives infinitely. You would have seen "Deep" burns very strongly before it's fuel (oil) ends...It tells us two things: firstly it's a symbol of lacking something...precisely your love and affection and secondly at the end it tries to give as much as it can. So we should pay attention, whether our loved ones are behaving in this fashion and should take action accordingly, before it is late and we need to ignite them again...may be it's too late and after that how much effort you put doesn't matter.

I have seen a Deep burning itself several times...but this Deepawali was special one, i could understand what does a Deep feels and what does it says to us. Ultimately the quotation comes true: "Kahi Deep jale kahi Dil", but both of these "Kahi" are at the same place that's the "Deep".

If my thinking contradicts with someone's i am sorry...i have written whatever i think...thanks for reading.

It Happens when You Write, just to Write

I m thinking for last 5 hours, what to write today!! And i think, i m still thinking. But now i have got the point. And i will explore this point in this post. Don't worry it's neither going to be a "Bheja Fry" nor a "Pakau Joke" (so chill !!).

Tell me one thing, what do you do, when you feel really bore or you have not got anything to do (even, you are not willing for a "bakar" session) ?? I will tell you in this post, what is the appropriate thing to do ("think decent, because i know, you people are really thinking wrong !!"). So what to do, when you have nothing to do, is really a big question. Someone starts watching movie, someone listens to his/her favorite music, someone plays computer games...bla bla bla. At the end of this post you will come to know the best thing to do, when you don't have anything to do.

Now a days, orkut has become favorite time pass tool (Keep refreshing your profile, who knows, when you get a new scrap and something to cheer about). These days getting live score on internet is also a good time pass. If you are not willing to do these things, then you can revise movies too (it's a better option to revise good movies rather than watching super pakau movies).

Well, you might be thinking that why am i telling you these things. I know that you people are also feeling bore and that's why you are reading my blog. You know, reading someone else's blog is the last priority. That's why i have explained you all the other stuffs to do, but you people are so idle that you are still reading my blog. This is the reason, India is still a developing country.

Now i tell you, why i have written this post. This is the most appropriate thing to do, when you have nothing to do. Reading a "pakau post" is more "pakau" than any "pakau joke", and you people have done it...congrats. Reading a "pakau post" is the greatest "Bheja Fry", you people have tolerated it, congrats. Thanks to my readers, who have tolerated me so much.

Lesson of the Story: After few serious posts, this type of post need to be published.

Are You Eligibile to become a KKP

Caution: This is an uncensored post; I will not be responsible, if any of the terminology used in this post is used in some other sense anywhere.

Here “KKP” stands for “Krishan Ke Pille”. This post is again related to ISKCON. Let’s start with the question, “Why do ISKCON people always look for educated people to join their group ?”. Do they think that only educated people can continue the tradition of ISKCON or they think that only educated people can serve the society? I don’t know the reason, but it’s a reality that their priests keep searching such faces. Well, it’s not bad. Every society wants to have such people.

But the main problem is that they don’t treat an educated (so called) person and a non-educated person in the same manner. They don’t make as much effort for non-educated person as for an educated one to become member of their society. So far it’s not bad. But, now you think that this is being done at the place called temple. Again there is discrimination on the basis of education (In the previous post, I had shown you the discrimination on the basis of money). And the situation is so bad that these priests don't even stop themselves in speaking lie, to bell the cat. They use tricks, like we people use to make girlfriends (“Well I have seen you somewhere”, “Do you belong to this institute” etc). This is a real disaster for spiritual feelings and devotion.

So, I can’t say whether these big societies (ISKCON and many others) are teaching devotion towards GOD or Management skills. It’s on us to decide. Well what I think is that to become a KKP you should be educated or so called intellectual. I have not used the word KKP to disrespect Lord Krishna; I have also strong belief in Krishna. I have used this for those priests who keep searching innocent intellectuals, to include in their society. KKPs, please don’t mind.

Devotion and Money

I don't know, what i think is right or wrong. But, I found "this" (wait, don't misinterpret this "this") the most ridiculous thing in any temple. I visited ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temple in Bangalore, this summer. It's not like that I had visited such a big temple first time (big in the sense of it's rich society). Everything was fine except what i am going to discuss in this post.

When we ( Avinash sir, Ankur sir and myself) reached the temple, we found two entrances there. One of the priest or monk (whatever, i don't know the exact terminology of ISKCON) told me that if you pay 150 rupees, you can reach the main temple in 15 minutes, otherwise you will have to go in the long queue which will take more than an hour. In these 150 rs. "prasadam" and a book was also included. I had no problem with giving money because I had gone there just to see the temple and it's management (not due to devotion or any such thing). But, I was really feeling bad for people who were in queue and may be had more devotional feeling than me.

Is there any place in this universe, where, there is no discrimination on the basis of money. At least temples (and other places for worship) should be excluded from this discrimination. In my case it was really like "you are selling the opportunity to meet GOD or the Supreme Power". If these two paths for the main temple would be used for common people, it was quite possible that, a normal person could reach there in half an hour. I was really hurt bye such type of discrimination by such a devoted society.

If such a situation goes on, then why GOD should be thought of as the supreme power and why should we have devotion for GOD. It's same like if you pay more you can go by airplane and if you pay less go by train...commercial in true sense. And when these middlemen between devotee and God says that they are enlightening the society, it seems like a joke. I have written what i feel, if someone gets hurt by this post, then i am really sorry.

Anything is Possible in Bihar

"Anything is Possible in Bihar"...It's a reality which i am going to tell you in this post. On 16th May 2007 this comic incident took place. One of the passengers pulled the chain to stop the train, resulting the train to halt...It was an Electric Train. Now comes the comic part...actually the train halted in the so called "Neutral Zone" (4 meters long). Neutral Zone is defined as a Zone, where no electric wire is present, actually trains cross these zones due to its speed.

This time it halted in the Neutral Zone and for long distance no diesel engine was available. Now the driver had two options:

1. Call for an Electric Engine
2. Ask passengers to push the train

God knows, why he opted for the second one and asked people to push the train. After a hard work of half an hour, the train moved from its place. You might have heard of pushing bikes, cars, bus (at most), Now it's train. More comedy could take place if train after the start would have left the passengers who were outside the train...but, it didn't happen.

So Bihar is really a happening place and anything can happen here. Next time if you hear that passengers were asked to push airplane then take it by default that incident would have happened in Bihar...not elsewhere.

Cognizance'07: Events Rocked

It's second one in this series...Its the level of events and participation, which really made Cognizance'07 successful. All the team members( Core team, EWG, AWG and the Coordinators, Co-Coordinators) are really deserve congratulations. So its really encouraging me to take a glance at these events.

All the events Ideaz, Spotlight, Insomnia, Lord of The Bytes, Duplicode, cHrACKed, sQUIeeeZ, Anna's Log and Digi's Talk, I see the IC really rocked. This time it was really good to see so much participation from other IITs specially from IITK in Lord of The Bytes (thanks to AmanAbhishek). Quizzing in Hindustan Times really gave a lot of publicity (thanks to Mayank) . The unexpected participation in Duplicode and I see the IC really surprised everybody. A very unique event cHrACKed impressed people so much that they are demanding it to be floated again (thanks to Vinod sir). Insomnia, Ideaz and Spotlight were as much classy as earlier, they really maintained their level and image among people.

I would like to thank Gaurav Dubey (Central team publicity Coordinator) for his help in publicity.

Keep reading, one more to come in this series.

Cognizance'07: My Experience

I don't know...whether it was my luck or I got a gift for my last two years' hard work. It happened in the beginning of December 2006. When I applied for all the three posts of 3rd year students (Thanks to PDM, who gave me the information), in the Electronics & Computer Department for Cognizance'07. "I think, I have taught u??", ("Tumko to Hum Padhaye hain?"), this was the question which was asked in the interview and my answer was, "yes sir". Then he offered me the post, ("Tumko hum Co-Treasurer bana de ?", it was my second choice) and I accepted. Becoming Co-Treasurer in Electronics & Computer department was really surprising as well as challenging for me. I was aware of the things but, not completely.

Work started mainly in January. Meetings and discussions (most of them were meaningful) had become routine job. All of us (We 7, sorry I forgot to add one person, one and only Dharmendra sir) were really involved in the work and any type of decision making. Don't know about other 6 members, but i learned a lot from the Cognizance'07, so it was really great because I had not expected this much. Whether it was selection of 1st year and 2nd year students, decisions about events, sponsorship or publicity, all of these gave me great experience.

Day1, 23rd March: The Game starts in the morning 8 AM but 7 AM for us. Just after an hour or two, crowd rushed towards our department. All the events happened successfully this day, I can't forget my own event (Duplicode: record breaking participation in any departmental events). 2nd yearites really worked well this day.

Day2, 24th March: I didn't sleep for sufficient time in the last night but, I had to work and with the same potential, Schedule was busier than Day1, everybody was really involved. I got angry on few instants this day, and this resulted in taking class of 2nd yearites at the end of the day.

Day3, 25th March: It was the final day, and the worst thing I did that attended the workshop of IBM. Workshop was good, but not for me at least. Other events happened successfully. But this was really eventful and the funniest moment came this day. At the end of all the events, It was time of bumps, started with Vinamra, Himanshu, Aditya...now it was PDM's turn but he escaped and people caught me. But i told, its not so easy to escape PDM, and funniest moment came when four 1st yearites brought him (almost carrying him) and he was really struggling to escape , (everyone gave him bumps, as much as possible, after all 2nd yearites had to show their anger somehow). End of the show came with photos and comments.

At last I can say: Coming Together is a Beginning, Keeping Together is Progress and Working Together is Success. Thanks to all of my team members.

Got a lot to say, keep reading next posts.

A plate of ChowMein in ModiNagar

Yup...its all abt a plate of Chowmein!
I can't forget this "ModiTrip" (don't compare with eurotrip and roadtrip)...story begins now:

Aman, Parag Jain (PJ), Abhi and Me.....all prepared to attend the marriage party at Jagavar's home, In the mean time Jagavar made a call and says...venue of the party is not at the place where u people r thinking. When i asked, where is it...he told get on any bus which goes to Delhi...rest i will tell u later.

We did the same. It was a Deluxe bus...and we were happy to get on this, thinking it to be comfortable...but it was too comfortable in speed also. How can I forget that drama going on the row ahead...it was really happening, may be not eurotrip, but this moditrip was much better than that...such tings rarely happen in India. Jagavar was making phone call at regular intervals. Bus was almost one and half hrs late when it arrived to Modinagar, as compared to our expectations...again Jagavar made a call...news was really horrible for us. It was already 2000 hrs and destination was at least 2 and half hr away...We decided to forget the party, take dinner in Modinagar and return to Roorkee.

We left the bus in Modinagar and started searching so called "Sapna Restaurant"........finally reached there and found it to be a "Dhaba". Then we went to some other place (named Raja sweets). Here comes the Chowmein @ Rs. 15 only, ate that and got a bus for Roorkee. We made a call to Jagavar and told him to congratulate his elder brother on our behalf and asked him for a separate packet of sweets for each of us.

Now u would be thinking how is the chomein so important that it is in the title...actually its just bcoz a plate of Chowmein @ 15 Rs. only became @ Rs. 200...thats it.

All of us are now waiting for Jagavar.

r!s!ng INDIA

Sometimes people say its 2020, sometimes say its 2050.........and INDIA will be a superpower..........watever be the year.........first question is "will INDIA become a superpower ?" and more fundamental one is "Can INDIA become a superpower ???"
If yes, then wat r the factors that will help INDIA becoming a super power.............here i m sharing a few of them...........
First one is large percentage of youth in INDIAN population. Here is some data abt it:
  1. In yr 2000, 52% of INDIANS were of age group 20 to 50 yrs.
  2. In yr 2025, 45% of INDIANS will be of age group 20 to 50 yrs (expected).

So it looks like a big percentage of INDIANS will be in working age group.

Second reason is that INDIAN resources are still unutilised..........In future India will be a large source of Iron, Natural Gas etc..........and at that time other developed resources of other developed countries will be exhausted completely.

Now I expect some points frm u people.........so, keep posting.

!ts @ll @bout .........the gre@test Sc!ent!st

If i ask u "whom do u think as the greatest scientist till date"................u start thinking, thinking, thinking........and in a few moments answer will be Newton, Einstein...........and lot more names. But, wat do u think abt this........"whom do u think as the greatest scientist and will remain greatest for ever"................u start thinking, thinking........and keep thinking...........i don't think, anyone would be sure abt it..............keep thinking i will answer this question in my next post.
